Suunto watches export FIT files through the Suunto app. Import into MetricsOverlay to add data overlays to your video.
Export: Suunto app → activity → export/share → FIT format. Older watches may need SuuntoLink desktop software.
Suunto records heart rate, pace, speed, altitude (barometric on current models), GPS, and sometimes temperature.
Suunto Vertical and Race have multi-band GPS and barometric altimeter, producing good data for map and altitude overlays.
Suunto added FIT export around 2020. Older models that only export .sml or .gpx need conversion to FIT first.
